Virginia Beach, Va. – The carousel at Lynnhaven Mall will soon be taking its final spin.
Say good-bye to what some may consider a childhood memory.
“The decision was not made lightly or quickly, but we remain committed to the family shopping experience,” says Kathie Strauss, Lynnhaven Mall Marketing Spokesperson.
The carousel will be replaced with a new interactive play area for children, NewsChannel 3 has learned.
The carousel will be open until January 4, 2014.
Officials have not said when the new play area will be built, or when it will open.
