Newport News, Va. – A man is now recovering after he was shot outside of a Newport News night club on Wednesday morning.
Police say they responded to the scene outside of P.U.R. LUX located in the 11900 block of Jefferson Avenue at 1 a.m.
Officers say the victim was shot in the buttock. The man was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.
Witnesses tell police that there was a dispute inside of the club and the people involved were put out. They say afterwards, shots were heard from the parking lot.
Police say a few cars in the parking lot were also hit by bullets.
This case is still under investigation.
