A new Old Spice ad featuring the song “Momsong” has gone viral, with over a million views over the weekend.
The ad features moms spying on their sons’ dates and singing a strange and slightly creepy song, blaming Old Spice for their sons’ new love of girls.
In the video description, Old Spice writes: “New Old Spice Re-Fresh Body Spray may cause boys to become men, girls to become girlfriends, and moms to become sad.”
Old Spice Marketing Director John Sebastian told USA Today the latest ad is targeting young men 12- to 24-years-old and also is “aiming to entertain the mothers who may be purchasing products for these guys.”
