Voters to decide who will fill Lt. Gov. Elect Ralph Northam’s 6th District Senate seat Tuesday

On Tuesday, voters will have a chance to weigh in on who will fill Lt. Gov. Elect Ralph Northam’s 6th District Senate seat.

This includes counties in Accomack, Mathews, Northampton, a portion of Norfolk and part of Virginia Beach. Click here for more information about the 6th district.

According to delmarvanow.com, Del. Linwood Lewis and Wayne Coleman will face off for this seat.

Coleman is a Norfolk businessman who is the CEO and owner of CV International, Inc. He is also a member of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Commission.

Lewis is from the Eastern Shore and is currently serving in the Virginia House of Delegates. He was just re-elected in November, which is his 5th term in office.

According to delmarvanow.com, this special election is costing taxpayers about $20,500.

Citizens who would like to participate in the special election should go to their normal polling places. They will open at 6 a.m. they are scheduled to close at 7 p.m.
