PJM Interconnection, the electricity grid operator for Dominion Power, is requesting that the public conserve electricity on Tuesday to help ensure adequate power supplies.
PJM is a regional company that manages the power supply for all or part of 13 states, including Virginia.
PJM asks consumers to conserve electricity, if health permits – especially from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Dominion Power has asked customers to be mindful of their use during these times, though they expect to be able to meet demands.
