The Royal Ballet is making a grand return.
The world-renowned “Royal Ballet 2014 Cinema Season” will take place at more than 330 select U.S. theatres, including three in the Hampton Roads. NCM Fathom Events, Arts Alliance Media, and Mr. Wolf will be presenting the Royal Ballet as three special one-night cinema events.
The series begins with the haunting tale of betrayal and enduring love with “Giselle” on Monday, January 27. “Giselle” reunites Principal guest Artist Carlos Acosta, as Count Albrecht with Principal Dancer Natalia Osipova in the title role. “Giselle” will be followed by the timeless tale of good and evil with “Swan Lake” on Thursday, February 20 and the classic fairytale “The Sleeping Beauty” on Thursday, March 20. The series will also include a behind-the-scenes look at the Royal Opera House and Royal Baller with exclusive cast interviews.
