SANTA FE, NM – A fight about aliens ended with a woman pulling a gun on her boyfriend – but not from a holster.
The Albuquerque Journal reports police arrested 48-year-old Jennifer McCarthy, Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy’s ex-wife, after she allegedly pulled the pistol from her private parts and threatened her boyfriend.
According to the affidavit, McCarthy got in an argument with her 53-year-old lover and left her Santa Fe home.
Documents state she returned, changed into lingerie and completed the ensemble with a silver Smith and Wesson hidden inside her body, with which she began to have “inner course,” [sic].
Then McCarthy asked her boyfriend, “Who is crazy, you or me,” before removing the gun from her body cavity and pointing it at his head, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
Police said the boyfriend told them he took the gun from McCarthy because he was afraid she would shoot him.
