Hampton, Va. – A 46-year-old inmate in the Hampton City Correctional Facility has died officials say.
They say Arthur Lee Dobbs, who was committed to the facility for felony shoplifting on Wednesday, was found unresponsive in his cell on Friday.
Staff started to perform CPR on Dobbs until medics arrived. They took him to Sentara Careplex where he was pronounced dead at 6:23 p.m. today.
The medical examiner is now working to determine the cause of death.
