An attempted robbery and shooting is under investigation by the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the McDonald’s in the 8100 block of Route 17 at 8:50 p.m. on Friday night.
When they arrived, they found that the victim had went to the McDonald’s to get help after the robbery attempt.
During the crime, the victim parked in the parking lot of Colonial Harbor, in the 2400 block of Fort Eustis Boulevard. He was apparently grazed with a shot to the head and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
