(CNN) — At least two students were injured Friday at a Philadelphia high school after shots were reportedly fired from outside through a school window, a fire department representative told CNN.

The students were being transported from Delaware Valley Charter High School to Einstein Medical Center with unknown injuries, authorities said.

“We do not have an active shooter situation,” said Philadelphia police spokeswoman Jillian Russell.

It was the second shooting at or near a school this week.

In New Mexico on Tuesday, a 12-year-old student with a sawed off, 20-gauge pump shotgun opened fire in a crowded gymnasium at Berrendo Middle School, according to authorities. Two students were seriously injured and the shooter was in custody.
