Dozens are marching for Dr. King in Newport News.
People there are in the middle of a parade, followed by a commemorative march.

In Washington D.C., the Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation laid a wreath this morning at the site of the MLK Monument there.
Thousands are expected at the Monument throughout the day.
