Snow on the ferry ramps at Currituck this morning.

Here’s the latest from the North Carolina Ferry System routes affected by the winter weather:

Morning runs between Ocracoke, Cedar Island, and Swan Quarter have all been cancelled due to high winds and ice. Crews will evaluate again at midday in hopes of making the afternoon runs.

Currituck received significant snowfall. The Knotts Island route is still offline as crews remove snow and ice from ramps, decks, and stairs.

Hatteras-Ocracoke is back in operation. Next departure from Hatteras is at 8 a.m.; next trip from Ocracoke is at 9:30 a.m.

Everything is on schedule this morning at Southport-Fort Fisher, Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach, and Aurora-Bayview.

Be careful out there this morning.
