Portsmouth, Va. – The City of Portsmouth’s Public Works Department road crews have been working since yesterday, pretreating the overpasses and bridges and responding to the snow and ice.
Crews continue to apply a salt/sand mixture to the roads with special attention to the icy patches.
Road conditions in many areas are icy, and drivers are encouraged to use extreme caution if they will be using the streets and roads.
Portsmouth City Offices are closed today. Trash collection has been cancelled for today.
