Norfolk, Va. – Crews in Norfolk are now working to repair a water main break on Hampton Blvd.
They say a 16-inch water main broke at Hampton Blvd. and 49th Street earlier on Monday morning.
Crews are on the scene working to fix it now. They don’t know exactly what caused it, but this generally happens when temperatures drop.
The water has been shut off and this is affecting areas from Bolling Avenue to 46th Street.
Parts of Old Dominion University and surrounding businesses are affected as well.
There is no estimated time of restoration but they expect to have it fixed tonight.
