Virginia Beach Public Works crews, along with citizens, are working to clear roads.
The city says they are tackling primary roads like Virginia Beach Boulevard, Independence Boulevard, and Shore Drive, as well as secondary roads like Bonney Road and Witchduck Road.
Neighborhood streets will not be plowed.
Trash and recycling collections for Wednesday have been canceled. Collections will resume as soon as conditions allow, which could be as soon as Thursday.
