Heavy snow causes roof of gas station to collapse

Currituck County, NC – On Thursday evening in Currituck County, the roof of a gas station collapsed under the weight of heavy snow.

This happened at around 6:45 p.m. at the Shell Station on 168 near Courthouse Road.

The fire marshal and building inspector went out to check the scene.

No damage was done to the pumps below. Customers are not able to use it at this time.

The gas station remains open for business and this area is now taped off.
