Williamsburg, Va. – A woman has died as a result of a vehicle accident in Williamsburg, according to Virginia State Police.
On February 3, 2014 at approximately 1:02 p.m., State Police was called to a single vehicle accident on Penniman Road in Williamsburg. A 1999 Subaru Outback, driven by 54-year-old Barbara Lambert, was traveling westbound on Penniman Road when it ran off the road and struck a tree.
Police say Lambert was taken to Riverside Hospital with life threatening injuries, and died shortly after.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Lambert was not wearing her safety belt and alcohol was not a factor.
