Portsmouth, Va. – Crews fought flames in a detached garage in Portsmouth on Wednesday night.
This happened on Farragut Street officials say.
Emergency crews received calls about the fire at 8:35 p.m.
The 20 x 60 detached garage had flames coming through the roof when units arrived.
Firefighters worked defensively to keep the fire from spreading. Their efforts were successful. They were able to put the fire out within 20 minutes.
The fire did not spread and no one was hurt.
The roof of the garage collapsed.
No cause has been determined yet. The fire marshal is still investigating.
