Duplin County, NC – Authorities say a 21-year-old Norfolk man has been identified as the victim of a murder in Duplin County.
According to WNCT.com, police say the victim was McKinley Beaty Jr. He was found with gunshot wounds just after midnight on Thursday.
Police say they believe Beaty had only been in the area for a few days.
They say he was alive when an officer spotted him near a KFC on Highway 12. He was taken to the hospital but he later died from his injures.
