Police say they were called to the area of Moses Grandy Trail and Shipyard Road at 7:55 a.m. after someone reported that a male driver in a white pickup truck had pointed a handgun at another driver.

Police were able to pull the white pickup truck over at Yadkin Road and Galberry Road.

They found 42-year-old Richard Maund in possession of a handgun. He was taken into custody and arrested for brandishing a firearm.
