When we first introduced you to Joe Seals, it was to recognize him for his hard work at Thalia Elementary in Virginia Beach.
We honored him with a People Taking Action Award for his big heart. We received an email telling us how great he is with the kids. There was an overwhelmingly positive response on NewsChannel 3’s Facebook page as well.
When we also gave him a $100 Visa Gift Card from our community partner Southern Bank, he wanted to take action again for the kids.
He offered to buy ice cream for all of the kids instead of buying something for himself. Our bosses would not allow that, so instead of having Mr. Seals pay for the ice cream, NewsChannel 3 took action and picked up the tab.
