Emporia woman killed in Greensville County crash

An Emporia woman has died as a result of a vehicle accident, according to Virginia State Police.

On March 3, 2014, Virginia State Police received a call of a single vehicle accident on Route 622 in Greensville County.

A 2009 Mini Cooper was traveling northbound Route 622 (Little Low Ground Road) north of Route 629 (Lifsey Road) when the driver lost control and struck a tree.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The victim has been identified as 63-year-old Patricia Anne Soler of Emporia, Virginia.

Police say Soler was not wearing her safety belt at the time of the crash and it is unknown if alcohol played a factor. Weather did not play a factor in this accident, police say. Notification to family members has been made.
