Artist Nickolay Lamm gained attention last summer when he created a 3-D model of what Barbie would look like if she were based on the CDC measurements of an average 19-year-old woman.
Now, Lamm has decided to bring his creation to life. He has raised over $95,000 through Kickstarter to sell the “Lammily” doll.
“A lot of people asked where they could buy normal Barbie,” Lamm told TIME. “But no one could buy it because it didn’t exist.”
According to TIME, former Vice President of manufacturing at Mattel Robert Rambeau is even helping Lamm find high quality manufacturers to get the doll done right.
