Virginia Beach, Va. – An early-morning fire heavily damaged a Virginia Beach town home Monday morning.
Fire crews say the first call about the fire in the 3600 block of Arthur Avenue came in around 2:46am.
When firefighters arrived, they found three people outside. Another person next door safely escaped as well. None of them were hurt.
Fire crews put the blaze out in about 45 minutes and managed to prevent it from spreading to a neighboring town home, but the home suffered extensive damage, especially to the back.
A Red Cross Disaster Relief Team responded to the scene, and provided lodging, food, and clothing assistance to the three residents.
