Vehicle strikes Chesapeake business

Chesapeake, Va. – Police responded to the scene after a vehicle struck a building in Chesapeake, police tell NewsChannel 3.

It happened at 1:15 p.m. A 53-year-old woman was parking her car at Shellac Nails, located in the 2000 block of N. Battlefield Blvd. (Edmunds Corner). She told police she was stepping on the brakes when the car sped forward, hitting the building. She believes her vehicle had a malfunction.

No signs of alcohol or drug involvement have been reported. No injuries have been reported.
