York County, Va. - A PVC pipe, a plastic bottle and ice. It was one random item after another that two people flung at each other during a fight in the Wawa parking lot in the Grafton area of York County last week.

According to a criminal complaint, it all began when Travis Dringenberg, 20, spotted the other person, a 16-year-old.

Dringenberg thought the teen had hit his car several weeks ago and addressed the issue by throwing ice at the teen's car.

The teen's response was to throw a plastic bottle.

According to the complaint, Dringenberg then stepped it up even more, pulling out a PVC pipe, which he threw at the teen's car.

Each unwilling to back down, they threw the pipe at each other several more times, until the teen finally got in his car and left.

For some, it might have ended there, but that's when the bizarre fight turned into a dangerous situation.

According to the sheriff's office, they both threw another item at each other while driving on Wolftrap Road, forcing other drivers to swerve out of the way.

This time it was an unopened Bud Light can.

According to the criminal complaint, Dringenberg threw it out his window at the teen's car.  It hit the front glass and it exploded.

The teen threw it back.

The teen said Dringenberg then went after him, according to the criminal complaint, trying to force him off the road.

In the end, deputies charged both of them with throwing objects at a moving vehicle, a felony, and reckless driving.
