Portsmouth, Va. – A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital Sunday with several gunshot wounds, according to police.
Police say they were called out to the 2700 block of High Street around 2:13 p.m.
When officers got there, they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for surgery. The extent of his injuries is not known, but police say he is expected to survive.
