“I was asleep, and heard three booms. That’s when I woke up.”

Eva Hollins later learned those noises...were actually gunshots.

According to York County deputies, someone riddled her next-door neighbor's home and van with bullets.

It all happened on Hickory Hills Drive near Williamsburg, where Hollins has lived for more than 20 years.

“I’m 84-years-old, I don’t want to be around that kind of stuff,” said Hollins.
“All the neighbors, we are very scared.”

Another woman who lives near Eva didn't want to show her face on camera, but described the scary moments that took place early Saturday morning around 1:00 a.m.

“I’m in my bed, and I heard these shots. I thought I was dreaming, but they were real.”

She and her son were some of the first to call deputies, especially because the family who lives inside the home has several young kids.

They were all home at the time of the shooting, but thankfully, no one was hurt.

“It’s dangerous, I was just telling my daughter that you’re not safe in your own home,” said Hollins.

York County deputies say a white van was spotted in the neighborhood prior to the shooting, but they are asking the public to come forward with any information, because they still don’t know who is responsible.

“I feel less safe now,” said Hollins. “It’s going to be in the back of our minds, always.”
