Zumba instructors dance on WGNT to promote the upcoming Zumba Love Fest to benefit the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute.
For the past several years there have been numerous events held by local instructors benefitting various charities.
On April 14, 2013 the organization successfully had the largest Zumba event in the Hampton Roads area. Their next event is March 30, 2014.
Last year’s 2013 Zumba Love Fest event had more than 1,000 participants and more than 25 vendors.
Last year, the team raised more than $3,500 for the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute.
This program covers assistance with people needing cancer treatments, cancer research, and more.
There will be more than 90 instructors participating in the line-up for the Zumba Love Fest. Each instructor has affected the lives of their students throughout Hampton Roads. All instructors, students, and local supporters will be coming together in this event to celebrate their fitness goals as well as share in Zumba® Fitness’ common theme of love.
