Which way is the wind blowing?
This time of the year that’s a really important question when you’re trying to forecast the weather around here. We’re starting to see higher sun angles as we head into spring, and that helps temperatures climb in the afternoons. But we have a huge pool of chilly water just off to our east (and in many cases, north, south and west). Water temperatures right now are still only in the 40s. So any time we have an easterly component to the wind (northeast, east or southeast) you can expect communities along the coast to be cooler.
Tuesday will be one of those days. Take a look at tomorrow’s temperature forecast and how the wind direction affects the temperature.
