These pretty pinwheels have a purpose

Posted

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Up Center in Hampton Roads will be participating in Pinwheels for Prevention.

They will plant pinwheel gardens at their Norfolk and Portsmouth locations.

They say these pinwheels are visual reminders that everyone plays an important role in making sure children in Hampton roads have happy and healthy childhoods.

The Up Center will host weekly workshops through the month of April on positive discipline strategies and they will also sponsor information booths at events through the area to get the public involved through fostering or adopting and abused or neglected child.
