Newport News, Va. - A Newport News man was taken to the hospital after being shot twice in a drive-by shooting.
Police say they responded to a call of a shooting just after 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Ivy Avenue in Newport News.
When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the foot and the buttocks. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
According to witnesses, a vehicle with possibly four people inside, drove by the victim and one of them shot the victim.
Police do not have any information on the suspect or the motive.
This is the same street where another shooting happened last week.
About half a mile away a woman got caught in the crossfire of two shooters.
Her SUV was hit several times but she was not injured.
Police have made an arrest in that shooting.
