Facebook page of Ft. Hood shooter reveals ironic rant

Specialist Ivan Lopez took to Facebook to unleash in hindsight what we can now call an ironic rant against school shooter Adam Lanza.

Lopez wrote on Facebook that Lanza "wanted his minute of fame."

Lanza killed 20 children and six staff members before killing himself at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December of 2012.

Lopez posted, “Lanza pretends to be a victim of mental illness."

This was followed by, "It is stupid to me that anyone can have easy access to a powerful weapon without being mentally evaluated. This makes the government indirect accomplice."

It is now known that Lopez was being mentally evaluated by the government and was prescribed Ambien and antidepressants before he purchased the weapon that he allegedly used in the Fort Hood shooting.

His rants against school shooter Lanza could have meaning or none at all.

The post commanding general at Fort Hood says Lopez did not experience direct combat in Iraq, but on the Facebook page revealed by CNN, Lopez posted about a fearful time where Lopez says, “I was left paralyzed and started a discussion over the radio. I was only focused on breathing deeply so that I don't lose focus and continue the mission. Hours of agony waiting for an attack by the insurgency..."

Lopez added, “To be in the line of fire is f.... up, but even more f.... is the suffering of the families.”
