On I-64 at mile marker 292.5 in Chesapeake, motorists experienced delays Friday morning due to a vehicle accident.
The west left shoulder, left lane, right lane, and right shoulder were closed.
A car struck a tenuator at the jersey wall, then proceeded to hit a tractor trailer head on, according to State Police. Minor injuries have been reported. *Note: A tenuator is a device mounted to the end of a jersey wall that if it is hit will collapse down like an accordian and soften the impact.
