A pro baseball player is getting a lot of attention after falling for a month-long prank played by his teammates.
Jeff Francoeur, a former right fielder for the Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals and New York Mets, is now playing for the San Diego Padres minor league team, the El Paso Chihuahua’s.
When Francoeur joined the team in March, his new teammates told him that Chihuahua’s pitcher Jorge Reyes was deaf.
Fun fact: Jorge Reyes is not deaf.
The prank continued for about a month until the team finally broke the news to Francoeur.
