UPDATE: Kristen Lane reopened this morning at 10:31 a.m. following repairs to the severed gas line by crews with Virginia Natural Gas. There were no injuries and no evacuations associated with this incident.
Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Fire & Rescue and Suffolk Police are currently on the scene of a gas leak in the 140 block of Kristen Lane in the Burnett’s Mill subdivision.
The call was received by Suffolk Emergency Communications at 8:39 a.m. advising that a contractor doing work at that location had damaged a gas line.
Virginia Natural Gas is currently on the scene and detours are in place. No evacuations were required and there are no injuries.
