Of all the jobs that make life a little bit better for the tiny patients at St. Jude children's research Hospital, there is one position that Stephanie Lindblom wouldn't trade for anything in the world.

Part of the reason that Stepanie enjoys her job so much is a good portion of her day she is getting paid to play.

As a child life specialist, Stephanie helps the child and the family prepare for the rigors of treatment and she helps them understand what type of cancer they are doing battle with.

How will the medicine help? How will it go in?

And for the little ones, that unavoidable question: Will it hurt?

Stephanie uses dolls and other play things to demonstrate to the little patients what to expect, which makes a work day a play date with purpose.

Sarah the doll is about to get a treatment. Stephanie demonstrates how she would show the child patients what to expect by using the doll.

So now you know the secret to the ever present smile on Stephanie's face. She's getting paid to play because it makes her young patients smile! She is enjoying every minute of the difference she is making at St. Jude.
