NewsChannel 3 is Taking Action and Getting Results.
We noticed something off about VDOT’s travel times this morning. The signs on the side of the road and on their websites were showing outrageous travel times despite the minimal traffic.
One sign said I-264 Westbound from Rosemont Road to City Hall Avenue was 11 miles – but a 56 minute ride.
When NewsChannel 3’s Kristen Crowley checked, I-264 was all clear.
Kristen also saw things were all clear on the HRBT, but signs showed a travel time of 81 minutes to get from Greenbrier Parkway to Hampton.
Kristen contacted VDOT to tell them about the problem, and after some checking, VDOT said the problem was due to a software issue that has been resolved.
Now travel times look to be running okay.
