Norfolk, Va. - We have all heard the quotes - "Life is better on a boat", or "Let your dreams set sail". How about this one? "Come aboard, we are expecting you."
That's what a group of boaters are saying and doing when they met at their Annual Great Loop Association event in Norfolk.
The Great Loop is a road map on the water where boaters can see America - for example, starting in Norfolk, you would travel north - then up the Hudson - through the canals - to and down the Old Man River - then back across the gulf to make your left turn back to Hampton Roads.
Veteran Looper Jim Wagner tells us three things everyone should know:
"Just go. You are going to see stuff you've never seen before. You will experience stuff you never experienced before. Just go do it."
Wagner added, "Don't overthink it. You will have a different perspective from the water than a car, and lastly, throw away your schedule. Go out there, slow down, and have fun."
