Richmond, Va. – A person was airlifted from the middle of the James River Wednesday morning in Richmond, according to CBS 6.
CBS 6 photojournalist Chris Munnings captured the rescue on video from Powhite Parkway.
The person who was rescued had jumped into the river, according to Richmond Fire Department spokesman Robbie Hagaman. He said he was not sure where the person first entered the river.
Officials have not yet released the person’s condition.
