Elizabeth River Tunnels (ERT), along with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will continue nighttime closures of the westbound Downtown Tunnel for tunnel rehabilitation starting Friday, May 16th.
The current closure schedule is as follows:
- Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17 from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning
- Sunday, May 18 through Thursday, May 22 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning
The I-64 High Rise Bridge will also be closed Friday and Saturday nights with the closures lasting from midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday, May 16, and midnight to 7 a.m. Sunday, May 17.
