Man suffers second-degree burns after explosion at Beach home

Virginia Beach, Va. – A man had to be rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after a small explosion at a Beach home.

Emergency officials received calls about the incident at 5:30 p.m. They say this happened at 400 Old Gate Muse in the St. Albans Glenn neighborhood.

One person was hurt and suffered second-degree burns on his arms and legs. They say the injuries are not life-threatening.

Officials do not know what caused the explosion yet.

Investigators are working to determine the cause.

The house was not damaged.
