NewsChannel 3's Laurie Simmons is on a tour in Sparrows Point, Maryland, getting a sneak peek at the new Midtown Tunnel elements being built.
SKW Constructors is leading the tour today. The company designed and is now building the tunnel.
There are six pieces almost finished - these will transported via the Chesapeake Bay on June 5. After that, five more will be built. There are 11 pieces total that make up the new tunnel.
