A Norfolk man is sitting in jail tonight accused of sexually abusing a child.
Police arrested 60-year-old David Linn Sellers.
He faces several charges including aggravated sexual battery and liberties with a child by custodian.
News of that arrest broke the same day the principal of Norfolk's Christ the King School sent out a letter informing parents
A volunteer coach no longer works at the school because of sex crime allegations.
The letter goes on to say that the crimes happened at home, not on school property nor did it happen while the man was volunteering.
Here is the full letter below:
We have been recently advised that a member of our CTK community has been arrested and arraigned for sexual offenses involving minor(s). We believe that the criminal process will proceed in the usual manner. As far as we know the alleged misconduct took place in a home setting. This individual is no longer actively involved with our school.
The children involved are safe and receiving the support they need and we do want to respect their privacy and well- being.
Please remind your children of the importance of bringing any concerns of this nature or knowledge that they may have of a situation to you as parents or a trusted adult so the appropriate action may be taken.
If you have any questions or concerns, I welcome you to come in to see me. Thank you for your support.
