Update: Police say a child was not abducted. They say the child was found and returned to its mother.
The babysitter picked the child up at 2:30 p.m. and said she would bring the child back. Two of them had the time confused.
The child is safe. CPS will follow up in this case.
Newport News, Va. – Police are now investigating the possible abduction of a toddler in Newport News.
The child was last seen at around 3 p.m. with the babysitter.
A detective is headed to the scene now.
No other details have been released about this case.
