Could ticks be linked to red meat allergies?

New research has been done on the relationship between the two.

University of Virginia researchers Dr. Thomas A.E. Platts-Mills and Dr. Scott Commins are among the leading experts on this phenomenon, according to a report from the Times-Dispatch.

The Times-Dispatch reported on their research in July 2011. Commins talked recently about the latest research findings in this report.

During the research, they asked 15 meat allergy patients to come in individually over the stretch of about two years. They challenged them with mammalian meat to draw their conclusions.
