UPDATE: All lanes eastbound and westbound on I-64 are now open. Virginia State Police say the driver of the tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on I-64 and lost control after striking a guardrail and overturning at the mile marker 250 exit.
The driver was airlifted with non-life threatening injuries. The tractor trailer was fully loaded with watermelons. Charges are pending.
Fort Eustis, Va. – Virginia State Police is currently working a single vehicle accident on I-64 eastbound at the 250 mile marker at Ft. Eustis.
A tractor trailer has overturned and the driver is injured.
Police are shutting it down to allow Nightingale to land. An estimated time for the shutdown has not been given.
