Hampton, Va. – Hampton police have arrested two women in two separate arson cases, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
On April 11, 2014, Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a reported vehicle fire in the 1400 block of West Pembroke Avenue at approximately 2:45 a.m.
Crew members arrived on scene and saw fire in the passenger area of a sport utility vehicle.
The vehicle was parked behind a commercial property located in the 1400 block of West Pembroke Avenue.
The Hampton Fire Marshal’s office investigated the incident. As a result, 34-year-old Tamyra L. Bumpers of Newport News, Virginia has been arrested on felony arson charges in connection with the burning of her 2004 Ford Expedition.
Police have arrested another woman for arson.
It happened around 2 a.m. on June 23. Hampton firefighters responded to a possible house fire in the first block of Anita Court.
The Hampton Fire Marshal’s office was asked to assist with the investigation of this fire incident.
No injuries were reported in this incident, officials say.
On June 25, Fire Marshal personnel arrested a 25-year-old Hampton woman, Crystal N. Partridge. She is charged with felony arson after setting two separate exterior fires to the front of an occupied dwelling, and a third fire was set to the exterior rear of a car.
