Smithfield, Va. - A man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing another man with a pair of scissors at the Smithfield Packing Plant early Thursday morning.
Yunior Ramon Torres-Ortiz of Newport News was charged with aggravated malicious wounding in the attack, which happened around 1:45am.
Torres-Ortiz and the victim both worked at the plant.
The victim was transported to Riverside Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries to his back.
Ortiz was arrested in Newport News after seeking treatment for an injury to his hand.
