Marine Gunnery Sgt. Michael Kropiewnicki strapped a camera to his helmet for a unique perspective of fast roping from a helicopter.
His group of marines board a CH-53E Super Stallion that hovers above the USS Kearsarge as they practice sliding down the rope to the deck in a high wind. The marines board the helicopter at the 4:30 mark of the video.
Kropiewnicki is assigned to Battalion Landing Team 3/2, of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
